Payment Priority Is Partly Created, Not Merely Awaited

Executive answer

When customer cash is scarce, payment readiness, timing and disciplined follow-up influence queue position.

Suppliers compete for attention and sometimes cash

A valid payable can still wait if a file is incomplete, follow-up is inconsistent, payment runs are missed or the payer has limited funds and competing demands.

What creates priority

A payment-ready file, knowledge of the payer calendar, documented demand, credible follow-up, early resolution of queries and escalation at the right time can improve the probability of being included in an available payment cycle.

What GGA does not do

GGA does not create budgets or improperly influence decisions. It improves readiness, visibility, timing and legitimate escalation.

Management implication

“The customer will pay eventually” is not a cash forecast. Payment priority should be observed and managed as part of Payment Intelligence.
