Revenue Assurance Assessment
Revenue assurance looks upstream. Instead of asking why an invoice is already overdue, it asks which commercial and operational conditions are likely to prevent clean billing, acceptance and payment before the problem reaches ageing.
Review the next revenue, not only the old debt
Select live orders, contracts, projects or recurring services that will generate invoices in the coming weeks. Check whether billing triggers, customer references, evidence requirements, approval dependencies and responsible owners are known in advance.
Three preventive control points
Commitment
Clarify payment terms, billing milestones, documentation obligations and unusual customer conditions before delivery or service execution.
Completion
Capture proof of delivery, acceptance, certification or service performance at the moment it is easiest to obtain.
Submission
Verify the invoice reaches the right entity, portal or person with all required references and attachments on the first attempt.
Use exceptions as design feedback
Repeated causes from the existing receivables book—such as missing PO numbers, late service-entry sheets or recurring deductions—should become controls for future transactions. The assessment therefore links historic leakage to forward-looking prevention.
